Overdose on Facebook

Friday, December 10, 2010

as promised. Christmas photos. Obviously more to come.

The holidays, I am sure, will give me some inspiration. I saw the first snow of the season today. Ideas flooded my head. I'm very excited.

Wedding photos soon! They were stolen from the bride via mail (ripped out of the envelope). I'd like her and her groom to see them before facebook/theblog does.

I am working on a photo project based off the internet series, Marble Hornets, on the side that will take me a few months to accomplish. I've already taken about 3 photos for it.

Salla and myself have collaborated with my ideas and her drawing.
Both with the same theme but a different spin on them

I'm purchasing a shutter release so I can start working on star trails.
For now, however, constellations work.

Orion has always been my favorite constellation. I think because I see it as a happy stick figure with his arms flailing in the air.

Besides the endless editing of Seussical the Musical
and Megan and David Burke's Wedding, I do have many upcoming ideas.

I've been working with a Finnish friend of mine, Salla, on an concept she created. I was able to ask someone I've never photographed before to help be apart of it as well. I am excited to start working with Micaela Donovan.

I have a photo shoot planned with Grace Dinneen soon. I'm excited for the location. Very eery.

Also, by request, The recipe as how I make my fake blood edible and realistic looking:

Ingredients:
Water
Baking Cocoa
Corn Syrup
Yellow, Blue, and Red Food Colouring

I usually do not measure the ingredients, but I try to look for the right consistency of blood. You only need a small amount of the baking cocoa and corn syrup. The Yellow and Blue food colouring is just in case your mixture turns out more brown than red. The Yellow and Blue will pull it more bright red than brown.

I do not suggest swallowing it, even though it is edible. It tastes terrible and feels like mucus in your mouth, however, it is safe so it works. It also smells like chocolate for days and is a pain to clean up.

However, the results are phenomenal:
